We had a mini family reunion chez Banjostrand last weekend — lots of good Kelly-style fun. Eat, sit around and talk, eat more, check e-mail, eat again, go shopping, eat while shopping, eat while checking e-mail again, sleep on couch (you know who you are), eat again, bedtime, wake up, repeat.

But WHY, you ask? To see the sweetest little addition to the family, of course! Ryker is totally in my will, along with Jackson who also let me hold him when he was a newborn. True to second-child style, Ryker is super mellow and apparently unaffected by a screaming toddler sibling. He let me hold him through several naps and didn’t even mind when I hooked up the smell-capturing machine to his little newborn head. (FYI Jamie: The marks should go away in 2-3 weeks.)

The Banjostrands all seem so happy and close, which is awesome, and they have a great house and yard really, really close to the Mall of America. What more can you ask for? (Even if they do think deli meat is dangerous. Topic for another day.)
